Aleksander Ostrowski – psychologist

• Adults Counseling
• Adult psychodynamic psychotherapy
”I am a psychologist and a psychotherapist currently in training by Krakow Psychodynamic Centre. I graduated Jagiellonian University in applied psychology. I have gained my experience through internships at the Dr Józef Babiński Clinical Hospital and the Psychotherapy Department of the University Hospital, as well as through working at one of the Mental Health Centres in Małopolska.
I work with adults experiencing a variety of problems such as lowered mood, emotional instability, anxiety, or difficulties in building relationships with others. In my work, I strive to understand the other person, taking into account their goals, capabilities and needs. This allows me to make use of my knowledge and skills appropriately to aid patients in their difficulties.”
Renata Ambasz – counselor

Psychodynamic Counseling
“I graduated from Jagiellonian Univ, and earned Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic and Humanistic Counseling, Goldsmiths College, Univ. of London. Psychodynamic counseling shares the same core principles as psychodynamic therapy but this process tends to be quick and solution-focused (10-30 sessions). As a psychodynamic and humanistic counselor I am an active advocate of change rather than a neutral observer. I work with wide range of problems, my specialities being relationship issues and cross-cultural differences. I devoted many years of my life to study eastern philosopies, particurarly tibetan buddhism, and I incorporate in my practice this ancient wisdom.
Working with cultural diversity and in different languages gave me the ability to see more clearly how our choices are determined by factors not so obvious to us at the first glance. I strongly believe we can learn and achieve anything we want if we mantain psychological balance, get access to our own potential and power as well as synchronize mind and heart in order to be really sure what we really want in life”.
JOANNA KROTOFIL – PSYCHOLOGIST, COUNSELOR

Individual Counseling (Adults)
Short term therapy
‘I offer short-term psychotherapy which is proven to help with: coping with stress and resolving conflicts, feelings of being depressed, anxious, “panicky” or unable to concentrate, bereavement and loss, severe mood changes, difficulties in making or keeping relationships. I help patients to gain an awareness of how their beliefs and actions hurt them and keep them repeating the same unhelpful responses in new situations.
This type of treatment is recommended as an alternative to long term therapy for those wishing to work with defined focus and fulfilling some preconditions. I carefully access all patients during the first sessions and refer all those requiring long term therapy.
I am fluent in English; I lived and worked abroad, in English-speaking environment (UK), for almost fifteen years and I continue using English in my everyday life”.

I hold a degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health from the United Kingdom. I gained clinical experience in London, working with individuals struggling with addiction in both individual and group settings. I completed a clinical placement at the Dr. Józef Babiński Clinical Hospital, working on a general adult psychiatry ward. In my work, I draw on approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, supporting clients in the process of change and recovery. I am committed to continuously developing my professional skills through courses and training, and I am preparing to begin comprehensive psychotherapy training.”
Maria Gutkowska – psychologist, sexologist
• Adults counseling
• Sex therapy
”I am a psychologist providing psychological consultations for adults. In my work, I support people who want to better understand their emotions, needs, and the way they function in relationships with others. It is important to me to create a safe and supportive space for conversation, one in which it is possible to pause with one’s experiences and look at them without judgment.
One of the areas of my professional interest is sexuality and intimacy. I am currently completing postgraduate studies in practical sexology, therefore when needed I also offer support with topics related to intimacy, relationships, LGBTQ+ issues and experiences connected with the body and sexuality in general. I believe that talking about sexuality can be an important part of caring for psychological well-being when it takes place in an atmosphere of openness, respect, and acceptance of diversity. I offer sexual counseling to individuals and couples”.

In my therapeutic work, I place great importance on an individualized approach to each person, understanding their history, patterns, and coping mechanisms.
To ensure the quality and ethics of my practice, I work under constant supervision. I’m continuously developing my professional skills by participating in numerous trainings in psychotherapy, psychopathology, and trauma. I am a member of the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy and the Society for Psychotherapy Research.”
Katrin Sliwinska Flaumenhaft – psychologist, psychotherapist

• Adults and Adolescents Counseling
• CBT Psychotherapy
”I am a clinical psychologist, trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which combines effective help with the hope for real change. This approach is particularly close to my heart because it allows us to understand the mechanisms behind our thoughts and emotions, while also offering concrete tools to implement positive changes in life. As a result, we can notice quick progress, leading to lasting, positive effects.
I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in Sydney, Australia, where I had the opportunity to work with clients from various countries. This international experience has allowed me to better understand the diversity of cultural perspectives, enabling me to tailor therapy to the individual needs of people from different backgrounds. This valuable insight into the challenges faced by my international patients has further helped me develop my skills in empathy and therapeutic flexibility.”
