Maria Gutkowska – psychologist, sexologist

• Adults counseling
• Sex therapy

”I am a psychologist providing psychological consultations for adults. In my work, I support people who want to better understand their emotions, needs, and the way they function in relationships with others. It is important to me to create a safe and supportive space for conversation, one in which it is possible to pause with one’s experiences and look at them without judgment.
One of the areas of my professional interest is sexuality and intimacy. I am currently completing postgraduate studies in practical sexology, therefore when needed I also offer support with topics related to intimacy, relationships, LGBTQ+ issues and experiences connected with the body and sexuality in general. I believe that talking about sexuality can be an important part of caring for psychological well-being when it takes place in an atmosphere of openness, respect, and acceptance of diversity. I offer sexual counseling to individuals and couples”.

    Sexual counseling

    Work-related counseling

Another area of interest is psychological functioning in the context of work and the impact of occupational stress on mental well-being. I have experience in supportive work with adults, particularly in the area of burnout and stress related to professional functioning. Supporting people in regaining balance between their professional and personal lives, and in searching for ways to function in a more satisfying and sustainable way, is especially close to me.

    My approach

In my consulting room, an authentic relationship, attentiveness to each person’s individual story, and a pace of work adjusted to their needs are very important to me. I believe that greater awareness of oneself – one’s emotions, boundaries, and ways of reacting – can lead to a more satisfying and coherent life.

    My training and experience

I graduated in Applied Psychology from the Jagiellonian University. I am currently developing my competencies through postgraduate studies in Practical Sexology at SWPS University. I continuously develop my professional practice through training, supervision, and my own personal development, ensuring that the support I offer is based on up-to-date psychological knowledge and an empathetic relationship with the other person.
